#i wish m’lila had a better arc i love her so much #one of my favorite things about xena is that the show spends approx six seasons retconning her introduction story #and that even rob tapert acknowledges having xena heel-face turn after having sex with hercules was weak writing #so it becomes a succession of woman after woman influencing her and giving her the chance to become good #and then hercules is the one who starts it but leaves her guilt-ridden and basically suicidal #but it’s really gabrielle who saves her for real #believes in her and follows her when even xena’s own mother wants nothing to do with her im just #and m’lila is the first #wonderful m’lila who is one of my favorite characters and who xena styles her armor after later

It’s hard to get enough of the warrior princess. Two original Xena costumes. The iconic brown and bronze costume and the evil Xena costume from the Hercules’ trilogy of episodes. From the It’s a Wrap disbursement. 

Chakrams, sword/scabbard, and vambraces obtained in charity auctions held at official Xena conventions during the years 1997-2001.

Gabrielle, while understanding Xena’s final act of redemption (staying dead at the end of the series), is heartbroken. Though she soldiers on, the pain in her heart and the empty spot in her soul plague her every day. 

The gods (remaining gods? God? I don’t remember what shape the pantheon is in at the last episode) take pity on her and, as a reward for her great heroism, faith in humanity through everything she’s seen, and as an acknowledgement of Xena’s redemption, grant Gabrielle a child, born of “the merging of these two great souls”. 

Gabrielle raises the child among the Amazons, who she eventually comes to lead. At an unspecified time, the amazons retreat from the world.

Gabrielle’s (spiritual?) bloodline remains royalty right up into the 1900′s. People are named after old heroes from time to time, as per usual. One of Gabrielle’s royal line is named Hippolyta, who (of course) has a daughter. Diana. 

Thus, Diana is Xena and Gabrielle’s great great great (x number of greats) grandchild. 

Gabby gotta have another child somewhere because Janice is a descendant. I like the idea. Was it Aphrodite that granted her a child?
