Wow – – I’m a little hazy with the more current pop and new wave, as I am more old-school :(=) …. But straightforward my list would boil down to:

LMLAO!!!! ❤
I hate hate HATE all those 2edgy 4me theories about kids shows. Like Angelica dreaming up the rugrats, or the ed, edd, and eddy children being ghosts, or literally anything that takes a lighthearted and fun kids show and has to turn it into some tragic take of rape or murder or misinformed mental illness.
So you know what? From now on I’m gonna do the exact opposite. Every cool grim-dark show is now because of a bunch of children. To get us started:
Game of Thrones: A middle-school DnD campaign with the most angry, vindictive DM who has promised to kill everyone’s player characters (and their family) by the end.
The Walking Dead is actually a bunch of kids playing zombie apocalypse in their neighborhood and every time someone “dies,” it’s because their parents called them home for supper.
American Horror Story: A group of highschoolers stuck in detention together each trying to outdo each other with their most gruesome guess for the plot of that summer’s blockbuster. Even those who profess to not like horror have a season storyline to suggest. There is a meta-plot about the group finding themselves and learning the true meaning of friendship.
(Incidentally, Criminal Minds is a group of psych & sociology undergrads’ weekly game of drunken Whodunit.)
This
happened over two years ago but damn, the way Carol hesitantly opens
her arms to him still strikes me.

She
was so apprehensive and probably had a hundred scenarios of her
family rejecting her running through her head as she approached them.
And then in a split second Daryl runs – sprints – to her,
genuinely, utterly happy to see her. Daryl’s face crumbles into tears
of joy and relief virtually the moment he sees Carol, so as he runs
to her, she’s seeing his expression and it absolutely shocks her.
She lifts her arms very slowly, tentatively, like she
can’t quite believe it’s really happening.
And
I know this happened years ago but I still find it extremely adorable
and heartbreaking and beautiful that Carol is so cautious and unsure,
and Daryl – even though this is probably the first real hug he’s
ever initiated – just runs to her and throws his arms around
her, without a second’s hesitation.
Because
here, Carol also thinks that she’s unlovable. She’s been trying to
isolate herself from her family’s love, from Daryl’s love, so the
last thing she really expects is for him to hug her – but he
does, again, with absolutely no hesitation. And again, Carol is
shocked.
Because every time she thinks she won’t be loved or she
shouldn’t be loved, Daryl proves her wrong.
What is this??? I have no memory of this. Am I brain farting?
“The Distance” – right before Aaron and Eric are reunited. Rick, Aaron, Glenn and Michonne reunite with the others and this moment between Rick and Carol is just before Rick follows after Aaron with his confused “I forget how to people” expression.
