This piece is one of my favorites in the entire museum; ‘Dream Cloud’ is carved from one piece of boulder opal mined in Australia. It’s an impressive piece, large enough to fill the palm of your hand.
not to be a nerd but it’s so crazy how he (Bernini) really did that from cold hard stone……. truly a spectacle, truly breathtaking, an honor to behold
