This has got to be one of my favorite moments in the whole series. Giles has been getting into all the magical mystical stuff, and the haunted house is eating people and there’s no door. So he’s just like:
“then we’ll make a door”
And he reaches down into his bag of goodies, and you’re expecting candles and rituals or magic dust or something and instead he just.
Pulls out.
A Chainsaw.
An actual honest-to-goodness chainsaw that he just happens to have with him because, why not, he’s Rupert Giles, Watcher cum Librarian and Badass Bookworm, who carries a chainsaw around with him and is gonna cut this Gordion Knot like the boss he is.
I mean. Giles with a chainsaw. It’s beautiful magical and good.
