A Knight’s Tale (2001)

@hacash

Fun fact: when this was filmed most of the extras didn’t speak English and as such, weren’t sure when they were meant to cheer. The awkward silence and Mark Addy’s cheer was all genuine.

According to IMDB this is true! Also, who loves the supporting role of Paul Bettany’s right nipple in this scene?

Apparently the first draft for Hot Fuzz included a love interest for Nicholas named Victoria. Though she was cut from subsequent drafts a lot of her dialog was given to Danny – often without any changes.

To quote Edgar Wright: “One time Simon Pegg and I got together and wrote a piece of Nicholas/Danny slash fiction. It was called Hot Fuzz.”

It was such a sexist time and I thought the funniest way to
dialogue about it is to throw someone like Diana into the midst of it.
She’s got absolute confidence in herself. She’s completely confused by a
world where she’s not being taken incredibly seriously. Which is such a
hilarious way to talk about it without it being a lecture. We really
get to feel how absurd and unfair this world is to women in the face of
an obviously capable woman. — Patty Jenkins
