But we were brothers, in arms, in blood, in everything except birth, and if i judged him worthy to die then I judged myself the same way.

And I wanted to live. I still do

Methos screencaps * The Messenger (1 of 2)

Some young sucker’s always gonna fall for it.

I just watched this episode tonight, and was reminded how much I adore this scene. Methos lounging on Mac’s bed. All the physical comedy with the boots and the coat. Methos being completely and utterly unimpressed by all of this.

Also this is another of the too-big sweaters that make him look really skinny, even though he… actually isn’t. (I keep writing about how thin he is in fic and then having to go back and edit.)

He isn’t skinny? Really? They were so good at giving that impression.

I think Methos is a cat. He just shows up, takes over, lounges on the bed. These screencaps could be part of those gifsets where people walk into their home to discover they’re now petowners.

He doesn’t have a key, right? He just breaks in because that’s where he wants to be.

He really isn’t! Look at the muscles on the man in Forgive Us Our Trespasses or Indiscretions – he’s compact, yeah, but he’s not as waiflike as those huge floppy sweaters would have us believe. It’s interesting to me because, as I was just discussing with lannamichaels, there’s this huge idea in fic that Methos is super-skinny, and that plays into the roles he’s put in when we slash him, etc (especially, I think, with Mac, who fandom is utterly convinced he’s shorter than even though Adrian Paul and Peter Wingfield are the exact same height).

(I think about this entirely too much.)

Also YES Methos is totally a cat. You just made me want to make a “this is not my cat”/”I don’t even have a cat” gifset with Methos showing up uninvited in places. 😀 Also, hey flamebyrd, we are talking about Methos being a cat!
