Lazaro Spring 2019 Bridal Collection

This dress has everything:

-cool witch feather trim for a “I’m totally prepared to curse your family for seven generations over minor slights” aesthetic.

– shimmering effects reminiscent of the cold and uncaring stars that won’t help that asshole now.

-corseted middle for my back pain, voluminous skirt because knowing if I actually have legs is a privilege

-FUCKING POCKETS HOLY SHIT, for carrying knives and small animal bones.

All it needs now is a matching hat.

Christian Soriano is bae

AND DO YOU KNOW WHERE HE GOT THAT FROM

I remember the season Christian was in. And he had a problem (because he was fresh out of fashion school) with understanding how to dress bigger women. And Tim Gunn, who has always been a proponent of needing to design fashion for more natural sizes, helped him to get out of that mind set by planting the seed. That growth we see is from this amazing fashion teacher!

Love this and love both of them. It’s like when Patty Jenkins was working on Wonder Woman and having to tell the studio “There is a big pile of money to be made here. Don’t you want this big pile of money?”

Jason Wu on Designing for Eloquii and What’s Missing from the Plus-Size Evening Wear Market

With cooler temperatures and a packed social calendar, the Holiday season is the perfect time to kick your style game up a notch and bring an extra layer of glamour to your wardrobe. And now, with the new Jason Wu x Eloquii collection, formal dressing is both affordable and size-inclusive.

Launching on November 1, the Jason Wu x Eloquii limited-edition capsule is a collection of 11 evening-wear options in sizes 14 through 28. From elegant dresses to luxe outerwear, designer Jason Wu took inspiration from the ‘50s to create pieces that were glamorous, sensual and sophisticated — and cater to various body shapes and sizes.

“Collaborating with Eloquii, the ultimate leading fit experts within the market, was a very exciting process for me to design into the brand’s technical, detailed approach,” Jason Wu told Teen Vogue. “Eloquii really listens to customer feedback and reviews in order to better each fit and get it right.”

Shopping for evening-wear when you’re plus-size has never been an easy task. For decades, designers reserved their elegant, most jaw-dropping pieces for those with thin frames and so, fat people like myself, both women and men, were given no options to choose from. And in my experience, when you’re simply looking to find evening wear that makes you shine and feel exuberant, going to a store and not finding one option that fits can be so disheartening that you choose to not even attend the event at all.
