If there’s one thing I love about Daredevil, it’s how casual they are with his disability. Jokes are made and they’re beautiful. Characters get flustered around Matt and he shrugs it off because he’s used to it, and it’s okay to get flustered. We get it, you’re trying your best. Foggy describes people’s facial expressions like it’s second nature to him, and says casually, “Let’s cross,” when walking on the street with Matt.

They don’t make him a saint for being blind, nor do they make him angst over it. He expressed frustration and longing to see the sky, and that’s normal. But they don’t make his angsting constant, which is really beautiful because it’s true; after a while, you get used to your disability, however painful. You don’t like it, but you get used to it. Those around you get used to it, though they still mess up occasionally.

Daredevil’s just really great and, as a disabled person, I really, really love it.

Foggy’s reaction and interaction with Matt is honestly so perfect too. He just seems like a guy who has a blind best friend for the past 8 years or so and doesn’t think twice about certain things.
