#i could see dawn being the one (years down the line; after she matures more; gains more life experience) #to restart and head a newer better watcher’s council #xander (despite his ‘see all’ rep) would reinscribe too much of the patrarichal approach to mentoring #there’s not enough room for experimentation and growth to be fulfilling to ambitious willow #dawn is the proto giles here; not just in their attention to slaying as theory and history #but slaying in practice #she HAS been through it all will buffy as much as giles really #but as a woman and a slayer’s sister she does have access to those emotional developments of a slayer #that giles can’t really transcend #invert the watcher’s council from being centered about the nebulous idea of the patriarchal father #to the little sister #i could see a legend of korra thing with grizzly chill old lady dawn mentoring the new head slayer or something

What would be Buffy’s playlist?

I’ve never done a playlist before, so I don’t really know if I’ll be any good at it. I spent a lot of time thinking this over, and I came up with a playlist I’m kinda proud of. Anyhow, this is what I took into account when creating it: music styles that I think she’d be into (mostly fem pop/rock), songs that Buffy would’ve listened to while the show was on the air, songs that Buffy would listen to nowadays, old songs that I think Buffy would listen to because I think she did, and songs that remind me of Buffy. I hope my rationale makes sense.
