what kind of demon is she? there’s lots of different kinds. some are very, very evil. and some have been considered to be useful members of society.
I feel like Anya could have offered so much more. Like you know how when you’re learning a foreign language you have to talk to locals because they’re some things you just can’t learn in a text book? Slang, customs, etc? Anya should have been that for demons. Giles is like “the demonic ritual includes the still-beating heart of a virgin” and Anya is like “Oh, that’s not a necessary requirement. It was just a cool thing to throw in back in the day. Adds to the ambiance.”
