I feel like Dax hosts are like contractually not allowed to be straight. Like when they picked Dax to be joined they were like “oh, cool. As long as the host ain’t straight I’m up for anything.” And the caretakers had to jot down “no heteros” on Dax’s file.

I would like to know why the writers of ds9 are trying to sell me the idea that Dr Julian “wanna know how I became saludatorian” Bashir is the office flirt like Jadzia “Big Dick Energy” Dax isn’t there charming the pants off of every alien in the station that even remotely looks like they can beat her in an arm wrestling match.
My wonderful grandmother passed away earlier this summer; I wanted to make a painting in her honor. It isn’t meant to look like her so much as invoke the peaceful feeling of her. Her favorite birds were cardinals and her favorite flowers were irises, so I included both. ❤
